About Us
We are a small indie team developing Bioneers — a Factorio-like game about a living organism.

We've completed the first demo and are preparing for Early Access. We're looking for a UI/UX designer to bring the existing interface to release quality and design interfaces for new mechanics.
You will need to understand the game, determine what needs improvement and what needs rework, and propose solutions.
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for an independent designer who can create ready-made mockups based on game mechanic descriptions. This means that studying problems, finding references, and preparing various mockups will be the designer's responsibility.
We are open to discussing ideas and answering questions, but we expect to assign tasks to you without detailed technical specifications for each element.
What You'll Be Doing
- Study the current game interface, identify UX problems, and propose rework priorities.
- Bring existing mockups to implementation readiness, reworking individual interfaces from scratch if necessary.
- Design UI/UX for new game mechanics based on their descriptions and player tasks.
- Conceive interaction scenarios, information hierarchy, behavior, and states of elements.
- Maintain a cohesive visual style and a system of reusable components in Figma.
- Prepare mockups, assets, and necessary explanations for developers.
- Verify the implemented interface in the game: visual accuracy, behavior, and usability.
What's Important to Us
- Experience creating interfaces for PC games and relevant portfolio work.
- Good familiarity with automation games: Factorio, Satisfactory, and other representatives of the genre.
- Ability to make complex interfaces understandable, readable, and convenient.
- Proficient in Figma: components, Auto Layout, prototyping.
- Ability to independently manage a task from onboarding to a complete solution, noticing missing details, and suggesting options.
- Ability to explain your decisions and consider development constraints.
- Transparent communication: report on work progress, raise issues promptly, and adhere to agreements.
Will Be a Plus
- Ability to design visual feedback on the game field: highlighting cells and objects, glows, indicators, smooth transitions, and simple animations.
- Experience with Unity and integrating UI assets.
- Ability to create simple illustrations, icons, and sketches.
- Experience creating banners and other marketing materials.
What We Offer
- Influence on the game's interface and usability in preparation for Early Access.
- Direct work with a small team and participation in discussions about game mechanics.
- Space for your own solutions and initiative.
- Remote work with a flexible schedule — no fixed working hours.
- For the next few months, full-time workload. Until the end of the year, we are actively developing new game mechanics, so there will be plenty of tasks.
- Then — another 2–3 months of final game polishing, with an expected decrease in workload.
- Further cooperation in full-time or part-time format — depending on the project's needs and your availability.
Selection Stages
- Review of portfolio and experience.
- Short meeting to discuss the project, approach to work, and terms.
- Paid test task.
- Discussion of the result and final decision.
