A tech startup. We are building a traffic anomaly detection system: protecting online services from fraud (catching VPN/proxy).
To get straight to the point: we are looking for someone for R&D. Our work is more like a cybersecurity lab. If you are tired of churning out the same features and want to apply your engineering passion, this is the place for you.
We are especially looking for candidates from InfoSec/networking who have transitioned into coding: network engineers, pentesters, SOC analysts, reverse engineers who can confidently code in Python.

🎯 Responsibilities:
Working closely with research engineers: testing hypotheses, digging into data, turning ideas into production code.

⚙️ Requirements:
▪️InfoSec/Networking background. Specialized education or proven experience: working in cybersecurity/network administration, CTF, pet projects, open-source — everything counts.
▪️Python with 1+ year of commercial experience. Clean, scalable code, user-friendly REST APIs.
▪️Networking below the level of requests/aiohttp. TCP handshake, TLS ClientHello, DNS. Hands-on experience with tcpdump and Wireshark.
▪️Proficient Linux. Console, understanding of the kernel’s network stack.
▪️Ability to read others' code. Legacy code and research scripts are not intimidating.

▪️Independence and proactivity. We don't need to 'pull' tasks out of you. ▪️Readiness to dig deep. Our product’s logic cannot be Googled — it has to be derived from data. You are not alone: research engineers are nearby, we discuss hypotheses together, and it’s not shameful to ask questions. The main thing is not to wait for a ticket with step-by-step instructions, but to go and figure it out.
