Senior Azure Data Architect

We’re looking for a Senior Azure Data Architect to join Plus8Soft. You’ll need strong enterprise Azure experience and a proven track record of designing the data layer behind production GenAI / RAG / Agentic AI applications.

Main responsibilities: ▫️Own enterprise data architecture and modernization of existing Azure platforms. ▫️Design how enterprise data and knowledge are ingested, prepared, stored, governed and made available for retrieval and AI consumption. ▫️Design scalable, metadata-driven ingestion for structured and unstructured data. ▫️Define data models and architecture ready for implementation.

Must-have experience: ▫️Deep enterprise Azure Data Architecture expertise, particularly with Azure Cosmos DB and strong, recent Azure Synapse Analytics project experience. ▫️Real production experience designing the data architecture supporting RAG / GenAI / Agentic AI applications, with clear personal ownership demonstrated in your CV. ▫️Experience with data modelling, platform modernization, unstructured data and scalable ingestion. ▫️Ability to explain your architectural decisions, the Synapse capabilities you personally used, and how you prepared data for retrieval.

Technology stack: Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Managed Instance, SQL Server, T-SQL, Azure Data Lake / Lakehouse architecture and Azure Functions.

💡 This is a Data Architect role. Hands-on development of LLMs or AI agents is not required. You must have designed the supporting data architecture for a real production application; general “AI-ready” platform experience alone is insufficient.
