Senior DevOps / Voice Infrastructure Engineer

Hello! We are "Aspirity Solution", a development studio that has been creating web and mobile applications, no-code solutions, and AI agents for a wide range of clients for 10 years. We are currently looking for a Senior DevOps / Voice Infrastructure Engineer for our partner's team.

We are now looking for an engineer who will take responsibility for the development and support of the voice infrastructure — the key channel through which AI agents communicate with users.

• Must be located outside of the Russian Federation / Republic of Belarus
• Conversational English B2–C1** - Remote format, full-time - $28 to $35 per hour and above, net ** Main Focus of the Role**:

You will be responsible for the entire voice / SIP / VoIP infrastructure: from deploying telephony and SIP platforms to integrating with cloud services and AI pipelines.

This is an opportunity to build a next-generation voice system virtually from scratch in a fast-growing AI startup at the intersection of AI, telephony, and cloud infrastructure. ** Technology Stack**:

Python, Asterisk / FreeSWITCH, Kamailio / OpenSIPS, SIP / RTP / SRTP, WebRTC, GCP, AWS, Kubernetes, GKE / EKS, Terraform, Docker, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD.

Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and maintain SIP / VoIP infrastructure based on Asterisk, FreeSWITCH, Kamailio.

• Integrate voice platforms with GCP / AWS cloud services and internal AI pipelines.

• Ensure high availability and low latency for voice services: HA, load balancing, failover.

• Manage cloud infrastructure through IaC, including Terraform and Kubernetes.

• Configure call quality monitoring: MOS, jitter, packet loss.

• Create dashboards and alerts in Grafana / Victoria Metrics.

• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines for voice services using GitHub Actions, ArgoCD.

• Enhance voice infrastructure security: SRTP, TLS, protection against toll fraud and DoS attacks.

• Integrate with PSTN / SIP trunk providers, manage DID numbers and call routing. ** What is important**:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Asterisk or FreeSWITCH.

• Deep understanding of SIP, RTP, SRTP.

• Experience with SIP proxies: Kamailio or OpenSIPS.

• Experience with WebRTC integrations.

• Experience with trunk configuration, dialplan design, codec negotiation.

• Practical experience with GCP and/or AWS for 2+ years.

• Production experience with Kubernetes: GKE or EKS.

• Experience with Terraform: custom modules, multi-environment setups.

• Solid experience with Docker / Docker Compose.

• Experience with CI/CD configuration: GitHub Actions, ArgoCD or Flux.

• Experience with Prometheus / Victoria Metrics, Grafana dashboards and alerting.

• Experience with Loki or ELK for log aggregation.

• Understanding of voice quality metrics: QoS, MOS.

• Experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ, Redis, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse.

• English language proficiency at B2+ level.

Will be a plus:

• Deep experience with WebRTC.
• Experience with AI / TTS / STT integrations: Google TTS, Deepgram, Whisper.
• AWS or GCP Professional certification.
• Experience with compliance: HIPAA, GDPR, SOC 2.
• Experience with Ansible or other configuration management tools.
• Experience with service mesh: Linkerd or Istio.
• Python or Bash scripting for automation.
