The team is building an AI-native fintech startup from scratch, an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) with payment infrastructure for European merchants – their own processing, their own gateway, licenses in Cyprus (CBC) and the UK (FCA). Pre-launch, release this year.
What you'll be doing: building the financial core of the platform from scratch: ledger, settlement engine, reconciliation. Working directly with the CTO, having a real impact on architecture, not just tickets from the backlog.
🔥 Specifically about AI: this is a real AI-first approach, not just talk about it. Agents handle code, reviews, tests, and incidents; a large part of PRs are approved automatically. We're looking for those who are comfortable and genuinely interested in this format – those who build AI pipelines themselves, rather than using LLM as a "second opinion".
What's important in your experience: 6+ years with Kotlin/Java (Spring Boot), PostgreSQL, event-driven architecture, OAuth2. Experience in fintech/payments is a plus.
