Starplay Games is a young independent game development company. We are a team of 55 people creating games that have already been played by more than 100 million people. Our projects are primarily in the action genre. One of our main games is the mobile superhero action game Spider Fighter 3. But we don't stop there, and we are currently working on two new projects.
We are currently looking for a UX/UI Artist to join our team (remote work)
The position involves mandatory completion of a test assignment.
You are a good fit for us if you have ✅:
- A love for games 🙂
- 3 years of experience in UI/UX (mandatory in gamedev)
- The ability to design clear and readable UI
- Understanding of the specifics of mobile interfaces
- The ability to search for and work with references
- Proficient knowledge of Figma (components, variants, etc.)
- Skills in creating UI assets and icons
- Understanding of UX in games (onboarding, retention, player flow)
- The ability to argue your decisions
- A portfolio - mandatory
Responsibilities:
- Designing and creating game interfaces (HUD, menus, meta layer, etc.)
- Creating UI assets and 2D icons
- Overpainting 3D elements to match the project's style
- Improving UX (onboarding, navigation, usability)
- Collaborating with game designers and developers
- Preparing mockups for integration
A big plus will be ➕:
- Experience with animation (After Effects, Spine)
- Experience with Unity (at the level of understanding its constraints)
- Art education or strong visual fundamentals
- Experience working on midcore / action projects
