Freelance translators

the International Criminal Court is building its roster!

The ICC Language Services Section is looking for freelance translators to work on highly sensitive and specialised documents covering legal, political, military, medical, forensic, technical, administrative, financial and human rights matters.

🔎 Recruitment criteria:

• University degree in translation, languages, law or a relevant field
• At least 2 years’ professional translation experience
• Strong knowledge of legal concepts, international legal instruments and terminology used in international organisations
• Excellent accuracy, clarity, terminology research and attention to nuance
• Ability to work to deadlines, independently and as part of a translation team
• Proficiency in MS Office and CAT tools
• Successful completion of an ICC translation test
• Security vetting procedure required

🌐 Language combinations requested: Bengali, Burmese, Cebuano, Dari, Filipino, Hebrew, Pashto and Rohingya with English and/or French as source or target languages.
