Salary range: $5000–6000 during the probation period (remote). On-site conditions are discussed after passing the probation period. There is no income tax in the UAE — net amounts.

Hiring specifics: we are looking for a self-sufficient engineer ready to relocate to Abu Dhabi after the probation period. English from B2 is mandatory. A YAML engineer who only knows how to apply ready-made manifests will not fit — we need a person who understands what's happening under the hood and can figure out a new stack without hand-holding.

Vacancy description: Aleria is a company with a Russian-speaking development team based in Abu Dhabi. We create AI products for corporations and government agencies in the UAE and worldwide. The team is small, with plans for active expansion. We don't have clouds — we work on our own hardware. We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer who will take responsibility for the infrastructure and help scale it for growing loads and new clients. We need a person who understands what's happening at every layer: from the network interface to the pod in Kubernetes.

Stack and tasks: — Bare metal + Kubernetes as a wrapper for hardware — PostgreSQL and other databases, tuning for product loads — On-premise delivery to clients, including air-gapped environments (~10% of work) — Networking: routing, segmentation, balancing, security — Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, Loki — CI/CD: GHES, ArgoCD — Security built into the infrastructure

Requirements: — Deep experience with bare metal without cloud provider abstractions — Strong Kubernetes at the internals level, not just manifests — Practical experience in database tuning under load (PostgreSQL prioritized) — Experience with on-premise deployments, understanding the specifics of air-gap environments — Confident knowledge of networks: L2/L3, routing, firewall, VPN — Linux at the level of production troubleshooting — Security mindset — High autonomy, vision for infrastructure development — English from B2

Will be a plus: — Experience in building and operating GPU clusters for AI workloads — Experience with storage systems (Ceph, ZFS, distributed storage) — Experience in hardening and compliance with government sector requirements — Experience in building CI/CD for air-gap distribution
