🏢 About the project: a large retail company. A large-scale development and transformation project of the landscape with elements of the ECC → S/4HANA transition.
🚀 Key tasks: — RICEFW Development: full-cycle development (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows) in ECC and S/4HANA. — Fiori Backend: backend development for SAPUI5/Fiori, creation of CDS views, OData/REST services (RAP/ABAP RESTful experience is desirable). — Integrations: design and implementation of complex integrations (IDoc/ALE, Proxy/WebService, PI/PO, SAP Integration Suite/API Management, REST/OData), management of contracts and patterns (sync/async, pub/sub). — Architecture and Migration: selection of target architecture for ECC→S/4HANA transition, participation in roadmap formation, retrofit strategy, planning cutover and data migrations (including master data/MDG). — Performance: optimization of mass operations, indexing, buffering, working with locks, using SQL Monitor, SAT/SE30, ST05, ST12. — Leadership and Processes: sprint/release train management, developer mentoring (K1–K3), code and design reviews, participation in CAB, transport and emergency change management. — Quality and Testing: SIT/UAT/regression planning and support, risk-based testing, defect analysis.
🎯 Mandatory Requirements (Hard Skills): — 5+ years of experience in ABAP development, 3+ completed projects with productive launch (full cycle). — Successful experience in a mixed ECC → S/4HANA landscape. — Fluency in classic ABAP, Dynpro, WebDynpro ABAP, FPM. — Deep experience using BAPI, BADI, EXIT, Enhancement Framework of different generations. — Understanding of security and compliance principles: SoD/GRC, change audit, PII protection. — Confident debugging, reading others' (legacy) code and ability to prove the feasibility and justification of architectural solutions.
🤝 Soft Skills Requirements: — Developed communication skills for working with business customers and IT. — Partnership approach, ability to reasonably defend architectural compromises. — Ability to manage multiple work streams and set priorities.
💡 Will be a significant plus: — SAP professional certificates (especially S/4HANA: development/integrations). — Previous experience in retail. — Practical experience with RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming model).
