Data Governance Analyst/Analytics Engineer

We are looking for a Data Governance Analyst/Analytics Engineer to help develop Data Governance processes, improve data quality, and implement unified data management standards within the company.

Responsibilities: Define and standardize business metrics, KPIs, and a business glossary in collaboration with stakeholders to ensure consistent business definitions across the company; Develop Data Governance processes by implementing standards, best practices, and data management processes across various data domains; Design and develop the company's Data Quality system, including validation rules, monitoring, and quality standards to improve data reliability; Implement and maintain automated Data Quality checks and anomaly detection mechanisms for proactive identification and resolution of data issues; Create and maintain a data catalog, metadata, and Data Lineage to enhance data transparency and accessibility; Collaborate with Data Engineers to integrate Data Quality control mechanisms into data pipelines and analyze data discrepancies between different systems.

Requirements: Business Metrics & Data Governance: experience in documenting and standardizing business metrics, KPIs, business glossary, and business logic to form a Single Source of Truth within the company; Practical experience in translating business requirements into measurable Data Quality rules and implementing automated validation using Great Expectations, Soda, dbt Tests, or similar frameworks; Proficient knowledge of SQL and Python for data validation, automation, framework development, and root cause analysis of data quality issues; Metadata Management: experience with data catalogs and metadata management platforms (OpenMetadata, DataHub, or similar) for maintaining metadata, Data Lineage, and documentation; Deep understanding of Data Governance, Data Stewardship, Data Lineage, Metadata Management, and Data Lifecycle Management principles for building scalable data management processes; Practical experience using AI tools to automate workflows, increase productivity, and improve data analysis and documentation processes.
