About the project: Together with ETS (USA), we are developing the Admissions Insight Test (AIT) — an international assessment system at the intersection of psychometrics and AI. We are looking for a strong leader to head the AI direction and turn complex scientific tasks into working production solutions.

⚙️ Technology Stack: Language: Python ML Frameworks: PyTorch / TensorFlow, Hugging Face Transformers LLM Ops: LangChain / LlamaIndex Data & Vector DB: Qdrant, FAISS, PostgreSQL Infrastructure: Docker, MLflow, FastAPI Deployment: On-prem (local servers)

🎯 Your Responsibilities: Technical Leadership: Leading the AI department, establishing development processes, and mentoring the team. Architecture: Translating complex psychometric tasks into AI-based solutions (NLP, Generative AI, classical ML). LLM & RAG: Developing, prompt engineering, and fine-tuning models for domain-specific tasks, implementing agent systems. M LOps: Building data processing pipelines and deploying models into production (on-prem). Collaboration: Close work with stakeholders and psychometricians to integrate AI into educational processes. Ethics: Ensuring safety and adherence to ethical AI principles.

✅ What's important to us: Experience: From 3 years in Data Science / Machine Learning with a full development cycle (from idea to implementation). GenAI: Practical experience with LLMs (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini) and open-source models. NLP: Deep knowledge in text analysis, classification, embeddings, and semantic search. Infrastructure: Containerization skills (Docker), experience with CI/CD, and ability to deploy models on own servers. Soft Skills: Ability to translate business requirements into a clear technical backlog.

➕ Will be a plus: Experience in EdTech projects. Having relevant publications or contributions to open-source.

🚀 What we offer: Internship: Research work at ETS headquarters (Princeton, USA) for 4 to 12 months. Scale: Work with unique state-level data. Conditions: Official employment under the Labor Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, paid vacation of 30 calendar days. Income: Competitive salary based on interview results.
