NextUP is an HRTech startup building infrastructure for recruiting digital contractors. We want clients to describe a task, and the system to identify a suitable specialist. We are starting with SMM and plan to expand to other professions and the English-speaking market.

We are currently developing our social media presence and are looking for someone to fully take over video editing. We already have content, filming, and SMM, but no one on the team currently professionally handles video.

What you will be doing:

• Editing Reels, Shorts, and other vertical content: memes, compilations, storytelling, talking head videos, and expert clips.
• Working with large volumes of source material, independently finding the best moments and assembling them into an effective video according to SMM requirements.
• Selecting music, references, keeping up with trends, and proposing your own solutions, not just following instructions point by point.
• Creating motion graphics and animation for content and marketing creatives. This will also include assembling a compelling video demonstration of the platform in the format of product demos.

We plan to release about 4-5 videos per week, but the volume depends on the content plan and filming schedule.

Our approach to editing:

For us, editing is a tool for achieving results. What matters is not just how visually appealing the video is on its own, but whether it holds attention, gets views, completion rates, subscriptions, and in the long run, leads to conversions.

If the source material or structure isn't working, it's okay to say so and suggest an alternative. Therefore, high independence, a keen eye, and a willingness to experiment are crucial.

Who you will work with:

• Head of SMM with 8 years in the industry, experience with L’Officiel, Forbes, Esquire, Harper’s Bazaar, and Cosmopolitan, and commercial projects for Rolex, Volkswagen, Askona, and The Glenlivet.
• Founder with 11 years in marketing and 4 years in business.
• Content Strategist with 18+ years in marketing, advertising, and PR, experience managing marketing teams, developing content strategies, and writing scripts.
• Graphic Designer with 3 years of experience, working with SMM, creating social media visuals, covers, previews, and presentations.

Primary communication will be via messaging, with calls scheduled as needed.

Who we are looking for:

A strong Middle+ / Senior Video Editor with a solid portfolio and experience in commercial projects.

Experience with IT, digital products, SaaS, platforms, and SMM content is particularly interesting.

Strong editing hard skills, speed, independence, initiative, attention to detail, and a high quality standard are important. Experience with motion graphics and the ability to not only follow a brief but also independently find interesting solutions will be a plus.

We need someone who can fully take ownership of the editing function without requiring constant supervision.

Conditions:

• Compensation at the current stage is an option. Vesting over 4 years, with a 12-month cliff.
• Remote work, flexible schedule, averaging 2-3 hours per day.
• Part-time, no time zone restrictions.
• Work is done as content becomes available, so there's no need to artificially fill work hours.
• The first two weeks will be a mutual trial period, also without monetary compensation.
• As the company grows, we plan to introduce a salary and increase workload.

If you prove yourself not only as a strong editor but also as an organizer, your area of responsibility may expand to managing the entire production department, potentially to the role of Production Director.
