Hi! We are the Tutu team. For over 20 years, we've been inspiring new trips, helping to easily plan journeys and book everything you need – from tickets to hotels.
We are looking for a Lead UX Editor to be responsible for product text across all Tutu verticals. In this role, it's not just about writing short interface texts, but about helping the product speak clearly, engagingly, and consistently.
Tutu is currently updating its product experience, including the app. It's important for us that the interface becomes more modern, understandable, user-friendly, and better at retaining users.
The Lead UX Editor will become the voice of the Tutu product: responsible for the clarity, quality, consistency, and human tone of interface texts. This role impacts several important tasks: conversion growth, user retention, service quality, and user experience in key scenarios.
— Be responsible for UX text in the Tutu product across all verticals and formats: interface texts, product scenarios, states, errors, hints, onboarding flows, in-feature texts, and product emails
— Work closely with product designers, product owners, PMMs, researchers, analysts, and marketing
— Independently write and rewrite UX texts for new and existing product scenarios
— Conduct an audit of current texts in the product: identify outdated, unclear, inconsistent, and unnatural sections, create a problem map, and propose an update plan
— Update texts in the existing product to make the interface sound modern, understandable, and human
— Get involved in the development of new features at early stages: help formulate scenario logic, identify complex areas, and make the interface clearer through text
— Build a systematic approach to UX editing: standards, principles, guidelines, review processes, and rules for working with text in product teams
— Ensure that product text aligns with the evolving brand voice and marketing communications
— Review texts from other editors: help the team find more precise solutions and improve the quality of product text
— Evaluate the current model for working with UX text: areas of responsibility, processes, editor workload, and interaction with product teams
— Prepare recommendations on how to better organize the work of the UX editing department and distribute responsibility for product text going forward
— 5+ years of experience in product UX editing or comparable experience in a complex digital product
— Ability to write interface texts clearly, concisely, and engagingly – with an understanding of the user scenario and product goal
— Experience working with large products involving multiple teams, verticals, user scenarios, and stakeholders
— Ability to see not only the text but also the scenario logic: understand when the problem is not in the wording, but in the feature's design
— Ability to work with product designers, product owners, researchers, analysts, and marketing.
— Experience conducting content audits and systematically updating texts in a product
— Experience building standards, guidelines, editorial principles, and review processes
— Experience working with design systems and text patterns
— Ability to review others' texts and provide clear, considerate, and useful feedback
— Ability to make independent decisions, explain them to the team, and negotiate with stakeholders
— Experience in traveltech, marketplaces, or other mass B2C products
— Understanding of product metrics, research, and A/B tests
— Not necessarily managed a team, but can act as the lead text expert: take responsibility for quality, help other editors, and establish clear working rules
You will work daily with product designers, product owners, PMMs, and marketing, as well as interact with researchers and analysts. The team includes UX editors and an editor focused on AI tasks.
The Lead UX Editor will need to help establish common standards, a review process, and a clear distribution of responsibility for product text.
We work 5/2. You can choose a convenient format: a permanent desk in the office, a hybrid schedule, or full remote.
