for the VK (MAX) team to develop and support web application autotests. The main focus is UI tests on Playwright, working with CI, and maintaining the stability of the test suite.
Tasks:
- Development and support of autotests for the web application: UI tests based on Playwright, and if necessary, integration and instrumental tests
- Preparation of test data, environment setup, working with test accounts and feature flags
- Running tests locally and in CI, analyzing failures: logs, screenshots, videos, reports, finding the causes of flaky tests
- Creating bug reports, interacting with developers and manual QAs on defects and quality
- Maintaining the stability of the test suite: refactoring, improving test architecture (Page Object and Screen Object), reducing execution time
- Maintaining documentation for autotests
Requirements:
- Basic testing knowledge: types of tests, test design, defect lifecycle, priority, and severity
- Confident proficiency in TypeScript at the level of writing readable code (classes, collections, exceptions, OOP)
- Experience in writing UI autotests on Playwright
- Ability to work with Git (branches, PR, conflict resolution at a basic level)
- Failure diagnosis skills: reading logs, understanding typical causes of UI test instability
