Manual QA engineer
Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and update test documentation in a Test Management System (Zephyr or similar systems);
- Conduct functional testing of mobile and web applications, using analysis tools to verify product correctness;
- Identify, document, and track defects in a bug tracking system (Jira or similar systems), interacting with the development team until they are resolved;
- Participate in the full testing cycle in accordance with SDLC and STLC principles;
- Select and apply optimal types of testing depending on the task context, scope of changes, and potential impact on the product;
- Analyze requirements and specifications at early development stages, identify potential risks, ask clarifying questions, and help prevent defects before implementation;
- Define and prioritize key test scenarios, focusing on functionalities most critical to users and the business;
- Assess product quality after release by analyzing incidents, defects, logs, user feedback, and other sources of information;
- Maintain and update project documentation in Confluence or similar systems, ensuring its accessibility and structure;
- Effectively interact with the development team, analysts, and other process participants to ensure high product quality and continuous improvement of testing processes.
Requirements:
• Experience in creating, maintaining, and updating test documentation in a Test Management System (Zephyr or similar);
- Practical experience in testing mobile and web applications using analysis tools;
- Skill in identifying, qualitatively documenting, and tracking defects in a bug tracking system (e.g., Jira or similar);
- Understanding of SDLC and STLC principles;
- Understanding of various types of testing and the ability to apply them consciously, based on the task context, scope of changes, and potential impact on the product;
- Experience in participating in the analysis of requirements and specifications at early stages, ability to find non-obvious problems, ask the right questions, and help the team prevent defects before the implementation stage;
- Ability to define key scenarios for verification, prioritize testing, and concentrate on areas most critical to the user and the business;
- Understanding how to assess product quality after release: through analysis of incidents, defects, logs, user feedback, and other signals;
- Experience working with Confluence or similar documentation management systems;
- Good communication skills, attention to detail, structured thinking, responsibility, and a desire for continuous development.
