The Alliance for Police Accountability (APA) is looking for a freelance AI / data systems builder to help develop a document intelligence system.
The project involves working with large volumes of reports, surveys and policy material, structuring them, making them searchable, and enabling AI-assisted querying.
The subject area sits within public policy and social research.
We’re looking for someone who can: • build document pipelines (PDF → structured data → embeddings) • work with APIs (OpenAI / Anthropic) • set up vector search (Supabase / Weaviate or similar) • develop a simple query interface • move quickly from concept to working system
This is not a generic chatbot build, it requires careful handling of different types of evidence and data quality.
Initial phase: 4–6 weeks.
