We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our team.

Project description:

Greenfield AI agent platform building almost from scratch: a monorepo containing multiple Python services that orchestrate AI agents running in Chrome/Chromium browsers. Almost greenfield project with architectural flexibility. There is a direction (detailed below), but one can challenge assumptions, suggest better alternatives, and document the why behind decisions.

Tech stack:

• IaC using Terraform/OpenTofu/Terragrunt, following best practices for multi-environment deployments.
• Container orchestration: EKS cluster on AWS (suggest other alternatives, but it’s AWS).
• Architecture: deployment patterns for a microservices architecture, where individual Python services can be reused across multiple applications as separate instances.
• AWS Services: SNS/SQS messaging, EventBridge event routing, S3 storage, and RDS/PostgresSecrets.
• Management: unified secret management (we’re considering External Secrets Operator for EKS - suggest alternatives if you have better options).
• Observability: centralized logging and monitoring (Grafana cloud - propose alternatives based on experience).
• Security: least-privilege IAM policies, network segmentation, and security scanning.

Experience:

• Local development toolkit enabling developers to: spin up the full application stack locally (considering LocalStack for AWS service mocking), debug services in isolation or as complete applications, replicate production-like environments on their machines.
• Docker: help developers craft efficient Docker files optimized for Python services.
• Documentation: clear, maintainable documentation and runbooks for everything built.
• Proactive ownership, no micromangement needed, strong communication, own your work end-to-end.
