Backend Architect - Job Description
Responsibilities
- Architecture Design: Lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance backend architectures that align with our business needs.
- Technology Selection: Evaluate and recommend the most suitable backend technologies, frameworks, and tools.
- Specification Review: Analyze, refine, and approve specifications and technical requirements for service development across teams.
- System Integration: Collaborate with teams to ensure seamless integration between backend systems, frontend components, databases, third-party services, and APIs.
- Scalability, Performance & Reliability: Design systems that can handle high traffic loads while ensuring optimal performance and scalability. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks through profiling, tuning, and optimization. Guarantee high availability where required.
- Code Quality & Standards: Define and enforce coding standards, best practices, and guidelines to maintain high code quality and readability.
- Documentation: Ensure comprehensive technical documentation of internal systems, including architectural diagrams, API specifications, data storage descriptions, and deployment procedures.
- Problem Solving: Analyze complex technical challenges and propose effective solutions to resolve them in a timely manner.
What makes you the perfect fit
- 10+ years of experience in backend development (stack includes Go, Java, and Python), with at least 3 years in an architect role focused on distributed, high-load systems.
- Strong background in object-oriented design, multithreading, SQL/NoSQL databases, and distributed systems.
