(DeFi / Perpetual DEX)
About the project: we are building a perpetual DEX for crypto trading
Our strategy consists of two stages:
- In the first stage, we launch an MVP based on Orderly Network to quickly enter the market, gain initial users and liquidity.
- In the second stage, we will gradually transition to our own trading infrastructure and replace critical components of the external solution with our own developments: risk engine, liquidation engine, margin system, execution layer, and other key parts of the protocol.
Our goal is not to build another interface on top of someone else's infrastructure, but to gradually arrive at our own perpetual trading stack. The MVP on Orderly is a tool to accelerate market entry, not the final product architecture.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a CTO who can take responsibility for the technical development of the product at the architectural level.
We need someone who will help launch the MVP, form a long-term technical vision for the product, and participate in building our own perpetual protocol as the project grows.
What will you be doing?
In the first stage, the main focus is the successful launch of the MVP based on Orderly Network. After the MVP launch: as liquidity and user base grow, you will participate in the architecture and development of the exchange's own components.
Together with the team, you will need to:
- conduct an audit of the current architecture
- identify the limitations and risks of the used infrastructure
- design the system so that the further transition to its own components does not require rewriting the product from scratch
- define the boundaries between external services and internal domains
- form a technical roadmap for the platform's development
What will be your responsibility?
- formation of the product architecture
- making key technical decisions
- description of the system's domain model
- designing the interaction between services
- defining the boundaries of on-chain and off-chain logic
- managing technical risks
- participation in technical hiring
- mentoring engineers
- development of engineering processes
We will be interested in talking to you if you have:
- experience working as a CTO / Tech Lead / Staff Engineer / Principal Engineer
- experience in designing complex backend systems
- experience in building high-load infrastructure
- understanding of distributed systems
- experience in making architectural decisions at the product level
It will be a big plus:
- experience working with DeFi protocols
- experience working with perpetual derivatives
- understanding the architecture of Hyperliquid, dYdX, Vertex, Drift, Orderly, Aevo, and other trading protocols
- experience in building a matching engine
- experience in building a risk engine
- experience working with liquidations and margin models
- experience preparing products for security audits
