QA Engineer (Mobile + Backend) junior+/middle | GeOnline in Astana
About GeOnline — GeOnline is an educational EdTech platform for preparing for the UNT (Unified National Test). We have an active mobile application built with Flutter and a backend using NestJS/Prisma, and we need someone to take ownership of the quality of the entire product — from API to user experience.
🚀 Responsibilities
- Testing the mobile application (iOS + Android) — functional, regression, UI
- Testing the backend REST API: RBAC scenarios, edge access rights cases, business logic
- Writing and maintaining test cases and checklists for new features
- Participating in the design of E2E scenarios for the staging environment
- Bug reporting and tracking until the cycle is fully closed
- Testing integrations (payments, push notifications, Firebase)
- Participating in code reviews with a focus on testability and potential risks
- Gradual introduction of test automation (API + mobile)
🛠️ Requirements
- QA experience of 1-2 years (mobile applications and/or backend API)
- Understanding of test design principles (boundary values, equivalence partitioning, checklists)
- Experience testing REST API (Postman/Insomnia, understanding JSON, status codes, authentication)
- Experience testing mobile applications (iOS + Android), understanding platform specifics
- Ability to write clear bug reports and test cases
- Understanding of client-server architecture
➕ Bonus Points
- Test automation experience (Playwright, Postman/Newman, or similar)
- Experience with RBAC/role-based access models
- Experience testing payment systems
- Basic SQL knowledge (for data verification in Postgres)
- Experience in EdTech or product development
- Experience working in a CI/CD environment
