About the team
Our team is developing a unified player for various VK services: VK Video, Odnoklassniki, VKontakte. We ensure the stable operation of content services.
Upcoming tasks
- Implementation of new features both within the player and on the content services side.
- Development and support of the service functionality.
- Working with internal services and technologies.
- Bug fixing and support of existing code.
Requirements
- Knowledge of basic algorithms and data structures.
- Knowledge of Kotlin syntax and structure.
- Understanding of OOP principles.
- Experience in building Android applications and understanding the core principles of construction (view, lifecycle, activity, fragment).
Will be an advantage
- Experience programming in Java.
- Knowledge of DI (ServiceLocator, Koin).
- Experience with View Compose.
- Experience creating custom Views.
- Knowledge of Coroutines and/or RxJava/RxKotlin.
- Product development experience.
- Understanding of video player protocols.
- Experience working with the Media3/ExoPlayer library.

- Pass the interview: You will have one or two interviews with a mentor and experts from the team. This is the final stage of selection, after which we will take a short break to make a decision.
- Get an offer: If you are the best in your chosen field, we will invite you for an internship and tell you the details of the hiring process.
How the internship stage works
Internship dates: July 2026 — December 2026
- Stage 1: Adaptation. Introduction to the mentor and the team. Gaining access to all necessary resources and chats. Welcome meeting and immersion into the company's corporate culture.
- Stage 2: Tasks. Setting tasks for the internship period. Introduction to the team's tasks and projects. Immersion into details and study of necessary materials. Discussion of tasks and interim results with the mentor.
- Stage 3: Networking. Interaction with colleagues from your own and related teams. Participation in company-wide events.
- Stage 4: Results. Evaluation of task completion. Summarizing the internship results. Receiving developmental feedback from the mentor.
