We design security without illusions, so that it can be relied upon. We are looking for a specialist who will develop architecture for backup and DR systems.

Security is an important part of our business. We build infrastructure that must withstand routine failures and sudden, unlikely but devastating systemic events.

We are looking for a specialist to join our team who knows how to look at architecture through the lens of "what will break first – and how will we survive it".

You will be responsible for designing and implementing security architecture for critical backup systems and Disaster Recovery plans. You will not just protect data, but systematically ensure business resilience.

Your responsibilities

• Develop information security architecture for backup systems and DRP – on-prem and cloud.
• Build threat models and loss scenarios, including "black swans", and propose engineering, not administrative, solutions.
• Coordinate decisions with infrastructure, operations, information security, and business teams, while protecting the architecture from dilution.
• Participate in vendor and tool selection, and implement best practices such as Zero Trust, Immutable backups, Air gap, and other concepts.
• Work with storage systems and distributed computing, clusters, virtualization, containers, hypervisors, and so on.
• Conduct regular technical reviews, GAP analysis, and stress tests of existing solutions.

We expect you to

• Have 3+ years of experience in designing information security architectures, with a priority in Backup, Restore, DR, HA.
• Have experience in building DRP strategies and conducting real DR tests.
• Deeply understand the technical aspects of server architecture: file systems, network interactions, storage architecture, snapshot technologies, deduplication, and encryption.
• Be familiar with standards and practices: NIST SP 800-34, ISO/IEC 27031, CIS Controls, and similar.
• Be able to argue your point, admit when someone else is right, and stand your ground when it is truly necessary.

This will be a plus

• Knowledge of architecture for Veritas NetBackup, Veeam, Rubrik, Cohesity, Commvault, Dell EMC Avamar/DataDomain systems and others, understanding the nuances of backup in containerized environments – Kubernetes, OpenShift.
• Practical experience in organizing protection against ransomware and insider threats in the context of backup.
