Backend Engineer (Python)

An international hedge fund with $2B AUM, focused on fundamental research and data-driven strategies, is seeking a Backend / Infrastructure Engineer.

The fund invests in developed markets (Semiconductors, Metals & Mining, Energy), has consistently outperformed the S&P 500 since 2020, and is actively developing AI/ML-based trading.

🔧 What you'll be doing

• Developing infrastructure for collecting and processing financial data
• Integrating ML models into trading systems
• Backend development in Python (Django)
• Collaborating with ML engineers, analysts, and the frontend team
• Scaling and improving system reliability

🧠 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering
• 3+ years of experience developing high-load infrastructure
• Excellent understanding of algorithms, data structures, and system architecture
• Experience optimizing for performance, scalability, and stability
• Bachelor's degree in CS / Engineering / Math or a related field

🌟 Nice to have

• Master's / PhD
• Technical leadership or mentoring experience
