🎯 Who we are looking for:
An indie team is looking for a 2D Artist for an unannounced Steam project in the 2D roguelite/arena shooter genre. We need a specialist with practical experience in 2D art, UI/UX design, a very broad outlook on PC projects (especially in the roguelite/roguelike genre), and an excellent sense of style. The main goal is to integrate into the current pipeline, accelerate production processes, and help the project launch on time, and in the future — to lay the conceptual foundation for a new project.
🛠 Main tasks:
- Formation of the visual concept and artistic style of the project;
- Development of concepts for game characters, weapons, enemies, locations, environment, and other game objects;
- Optimization and improvement of the team's internal production processes related to art and UI/UX design.
📝 Requirements:
- Have practical experience in a similar role;
- Understand the principles of light, color, composition, perspective, and anatomy;
- Proficiently use the main graphics and design creation programs;
- Proficiently use AI tools;
- Ability to work in different styles and adapt easily to colleagues' work;
- Ability to maintain strict consistency between the game character, opponents, and environment;
- Ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with multiple revisions;
- Ability to be proactive in work processes;
- Have an up-to-date portfolio;
- The vacancy involves a test assignment.
🌟 It will be a big plus if you:
- Understand the principles of commercial PC game development, are familiar with the Art department pipeline, and have practical experience in commercial game development.
- Possess an extensive stack of various tools.
- Have a basic understanding of PC game design.
💰 What we offer:
- Full-time/part-time employment (by agreement);
- Remote work/office (choice);
- Contract and payment in a convenient format;
- Reviews and income growth directly dependent on success in your role;
- A small team without bureaucracy, fines, useless dailies, and time tracking;
- Opportunity for long-term collaboration on current and future studio projects.
