The Center for Applied AI is a special unit within Sber, focused on complex AI projects and the development of new technologies.

In the Center for Applied Research, we are engaged in the development of research-intensive tools that benefit specific business areas.

Examples of the center's research areas:

• Operations research and discrete optimization for solving logistics problems

• Graph neural networks and graph algorithms

• Denoising, adversarial attacks, model robustness

• New NLP + LLM methods in business tasks

• Research in the field of agents and multi-agent systems.

This vacancy involves conducting applied research in the field of LLM and agents

Responsibilities

• study current academic papers in the field of NLP (including LLM)

• technically plan, analyze, and develop promising directions for research-intensive studies in the field of LLM, agents, and multi-agent systems

• generate and quickly test ML hypotheses

• interact with product teams to integrate the developed tools

• develop pipelines for solving business cases using LLM and agents

• participate in research and writing articles for Q1 journals and A/A* conferences.

Requirements

• higher technical education
• excellent knowledge of algorithms, Python, and DL-stack (PyTorch, transformers, ...)
• deep understanding of the fundamentals of DL and classical ML, broad knowledge in ML
• work experience with LLM (finetune, LoRA, p-tuning, ...), work experience with agents and multi-agent systems from 5 years
• ability and desire to invent algorithms based on new ideas
• skills in working with generative AI models; experience in creating AI agents and using them in work will be an advantage
• experience in using GigaChat, Kandinsky, and analogues in products, skills in creating and using AI agents
• instrumental proficiency in AI for analysis, generation, and automation.

Will be a plus:

• experience in solving applied problems using LLM, experience in implementing into business processes
• experience in writing scientific papers, having publications.
• experience of successful participation in machine learning competitions (Kaggle and similar).
