OWLCAT GAMES was founded in 2016. The studio employs experienced developers who worked on projects such as Pathfinder: Kingmaker, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, and is currently working on titles Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy and The Expanse: Osiris Reborn.

We are looking for an experienced Lead UI/UX Designer with broad approach to game interface development: someone who can not only design great screens, but also bring the UI to polish alongside a team of designers, artists, programmers, and game designers.

We need a leader who understands that in-game UI is not just layouts, but an integral part of the player experience, production, and technical execution.

TASKS:

• Design new interfaces for a hardcore CRPG based on a tabletop RPG system
• Design interfaces for complex game systems featuring heavy text, dense content, multiple states, actions, and consequences
• Maintain and evolve existing project interfaces
• Lead a multi-disciplinary UI team (designers, engineers, artists)
• Work in close collaboration with game designers, artists, gameplay programmers, and QA engineers
• Act as the owner of UI quality across the project
• Handle task planning, estimation, risk management, and quality control for the UI department
• Adapt interfaces for gamepad controls and cross-platform requirements
• Work with player feedback, QA, UX testing, and analytics.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Passion for creating games you genuinely want to play
• Solid gaming background on PC and consoles
• Clear understanding of the UI implementation pipeline within game engines
