**Data Specialist (Data Platform Owner) Company: **a British technology leader in the CleanTech sector. They develop unique energy storage systems (LAES) and software for their integration into energy grids. The project is scaling with the support of major global investors (Goldman Sachs, Rio Tinto) and combines high-load software, ML forecasts, and real physical installations.

Location: Remote (Europe, not RF or RB) or hybrid in London.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a data collection system (grabbers/connectors) in Python.
• Design schemas in PostgreSQL for working with huge volumes of market data.
• Actively use agent AI systems (Claude Code, Cursor) to accelerate code writing and automate routine tasks.
• In the future - develop calibrated forecasting models (XGBoost, LightGBM) for UK energy markets.
• Ensure the operation of critical data infrastructure for analysts and trading strategies.

Requirements:

• Good knowledge of Python for writing clean and testable code.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, understanding of relational database structure and referential integrity.
• Ability to solve algorithmic problems at the LeetCode Easy/Medium level.
• Willingness to deeply dive into the structure of the British energy market.
• English language proficiency at B2 level or higher for fluent understanding of colleagues from the UK.
• Higher technical education (strong mathematical background).
• Experience with Polars and experiment tracking tools (MLflow) will be a plus.
