Job description
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Python functionality in production projects.
- Design and develop backend services and APIs on FastAPI.
- Participate in the design of service architecture and business logic.
- Implement asynchronous and parallel processing of data and requests.
- Identify bottlenecks and improve system performance.
- Maintain code quality: perform refactoring, write tests and documentation, participate in code reviews.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of commercial Python development experience; proficient in Python 3.x and standard libraries.
- Practical experience in developing APIs and services, including on FastAPI.
- Understanding of asynchronous programming and parallelism in Python, skills in designing algorithms and data structures.
- Proficient in SQL, experience in database design and working with PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
- Experience with Docker, CI/CD and GitLab CI; basic understanding of Kubernetes.
- Experience with message queue systems and message brokers: Kafka, RabbitMQ or similar.
- Understanding of monitoring and logging, experience with Prometheus/Grafana and/or ELK.
Will be a plus:
- Experience with libraries for ML/NLP, including PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face Transformers and spaCy.
- Understanding of machine learning and natural language processing algorithms, ability to design models and pipelines.
- Experience with LLMs, inference optimization, using GPUs and containerizing models with Docker or containerd.
Conditions: full-time employment, 5/2 schedule, hybrid format or office-based work in Saint Petersburg.
