Python Backend Developer (Middle+)
We are looking for a Python Backend Developer to join a product team building scalable backend services, APIs, and AI-powered integrations.
Tech stack: Python • FastAPI • PostgreSQL • REST API • Docker • Kubernetes • CI/CD • MCP
Responsibilities:
- Develop new backend services and maintain existing ones
- Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs using FastAPI
- Design and optimize PostgreSQL schemas, indexes, and queries
- Write unit and integration tests, participate in code reviews, and maintain code quality
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment
- Containerize and deploy services using Docker and Kubernetes
- Implement authentication, authorization, and secure coding practices
- Integrate AI capabilities using MCP (Model Context Protocol)
- Optimize application performance and database efficiency
- Collaborate with frontend developers and product teams
Requirements:
- 3+ years of commercial experience in backend development
- Strong knowledge of Python and FastAPI
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, SQL optimization, indexing, and migrations
- Experience with pytest, unit and integration testing, and TDD principles
- Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar)
- Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Understanding of REST API design principles and application security
- Git and collaborative development practices
- Proficiency in English
Nice to have:
- Experience with MCP and AI tool/agent integrations
- Async Python (asyncio, async SQLAlchemy)
- SQLAlchemy and Alembic
- Message brokers and queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka, Redis)
- Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Caching solutions (Redis, Memcached)
