We are looking for a Group Financial Controller

We are looking for a Group Financial Controller to take ownership of accounting, financial reporting and tax across an international, multi-entity group operating across several business lines, including fintech and crypto-related activities.

The role reports directly to the CFO and combines hands-on financial control with responsibility for group-level processes, reporting and financial flows.

▪️Responsibilities ▫️Own accounting and financial reporting across the group’s legal entities ▫️Manage month-end and year-end closing, reconciliations and financial statement preparation ▫️Consolidate financial information across entities and jurisdictions ▫️Ensure consistent accounting treatment across the group ▫️Ensure accounting data provides a reliable basis for management reporting and financial analysis ▫️Coordinate tax compliance across jurisdictions with local accountants and external advisers ▫️Support transfer pricing, intercompany transactions and related documentation ▫️Oversee bank, payment provider, exchange and crypto-related reconciliations ▫️Work with large volumes of transactional data and complex financial flows ▫️Analyze discrepancies, identify issues and drive their resolution ▫️Investigate non-standard transactions and new financial flows and determine appropriate accounting treatment ▫️Coordinate with auditors, tax advisers, banks and other external parties ▫️Participate in audits and regulatory reporting ▫️Improve financial systems, controls and accounting processes ▫️Build accounting processes for new entities, products and transaction types

▪️Requirements ▫️5+ years of relevant experience in accounting / financial control ▫️Strong practical accounting and financial reporting background ▫️Experience with multi-entity accounting, consolidation and intercompany transactions ▫️Experience working across multiple jurisdictions ▫️UAE experience is a strong advantage ▫️Good practical understanding of IFRS ▫️Experience with Corporate Tax, VAT / indirect taxes and local tax advisers ▫️Strong reconciliation and financial analysis skills ▫️Experience working with high-volume transactional data and complex datasets ▫️Experience working with auditors, banks and external advisers ▫️Experience with transfer pricing and international groups is a strong advantage ▫️Experience in fintech, payments, banking, EMI / PSP or crypto is a plus, but not required ▫️Strong Excel and financial systems skills ▫️English — strong working proficiency
