Hello! We are developing Riorise — a mobile MMO RPG. The game combines open-world, roleplay RP, life simulator, racing, and a social sandbox where thousands of players interact in real-time.
We are looking for a Senior Python Developer to develop our game's payment and trading system. You will be responsible for the service that handles player purchases, virtual currency, and in-game item distribution. Your responsibilities will include the product catalog, in-game transactions, integrations with payment platforms, currency accrual/debiting, item distribution, refunds, and the reliability of the payment circuit.
Our Technologies:
- Backend: Python, FastAPI, Django
- Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL
- Infrastructure: Docker, CI/CD
- Observability: It's important not only to write code but also to understand how and why applications work in production (metrics, logs, alerts)
What you will do:
- Develop and maintain services in Python
- Work with databases: write queries, optimize, design structures
- Participate in architectural design — from simple solutions to scalable ones
- Ensure code quality: write tests, refactor, adhere to modern development standards
What's important to us:
- Python development experience of 4+ years
- Love to code and do it cleanly
- Understand why tests are needed and write them
- Interest in monitoring and application performance in production
- Ability to think pragmatically: don't over-engineer, but build simple, scalable solutions
Will be a plus:
- Experience with monitoring systems (Prometheus, Grafana, Sentry, or similar)
- Experience writing asynchronous code
- Basic understanding of Docker and CI/CD
