Senior Python Developer (Backend)
Format: remote
Location: RF / RB / Kazakhstan
Project: development of a high-load backend platform
Project duration: 6 months (with the possibility of extension)
Salary: up to 250,000 (TK or IP)
Tasks:
- Development and enhancement of backend services in Python
- Design and implementation of microservices in an Event-Driven architecture
- Development of high-load asynchronous services using AsyncIO
- Integration of services via Kafka and Redis Pub/Sub
- Work with PostgreSQL and optimization of database interaction through SQLAlchemy
- Design of REST API and internal service interfaces
- Writing unit and integration tests, ensuring the quality of own code
- Configuration and support of logging, metrics, and tracing for service monitoring
- Participation in architectural design and code reviews
- Interaction with analysts, DevOps, and other developers during functionality implementation
- Optimization of service performance, fault tolerance, and scalability
Requirements:
- Commercial experience in Python development of 4+ years
- Experience in developing backend services with FastAPI or Litestar (Starlite)
- Proficient in AsyncIO/concurrency/multiprocessing
- Experience with Kafka
- Experience using Redis (preferably Redis Pub/Sub)
- Solid experience with PostgreSQL and SQLAlchemy
- Understanding of service observability principles and experience with logging, metrics, and tracing (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Jaeger, etc.)
- Practical experience in microservice development
- Experience with Docker, Git, CI/CD
- Experience with Event-Driven systems; experience in designing and developing them from scratch will be an advantage
- Experience in self-testing of own code (pytest or similar tools)
Will be an advantage:
- Understanding of various architectural approaches beyond Event-Driven
- Experience in designing service architecture from scratch
- Experience in high-load distributed systems
- Experience using AI Coding Agents (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf, Claude Code, etc.)
