Tasks:
- Work in an agile team
- Development of a calculation system using a microservice approach, PostgreSQL, OpenSearch, Kafka / REST integrations, frontend API
- Code review
- Performance troubleshooting
- Intensive interaction with the team: analysts, testers, other developers, frontend
- Interaction with other teams on integration issues
Requirements:
- 5+ years of commercial Java development experience
- Proficient in Java 21, Spring Boot 3.x, Spring Security, Spring Cloud
- Proficient with PostgreSQL, Liquibase, Hibernate/JPA, MapStruct/Lombok
- Solid experience with Kafka: consumer groups, retries/DLQ, idempotent processing, understanding of delivery semantics
- REST integrations: server-side APIs and client calls (OpenFeign / RestClient), error handling, timeouts, and retries
- Experience in unit and integration testing: JUnit, Testcontainers, API tests, and Kafka integrations
- Git, Maven (multi-module projects), Docker, Kubernetes
A big plus will be:
- Understanding of PostgreSQL transaction isolation levels, experience analyzing query execution plans (EXPLAIN/EXPLAIN ANALYZE) and optimizing queries based on results
- Experience in diagnosing and reducing JVM memory consumption (heap, GC, leaks, object sizes/DB query sizes)
- Experience with metrics (Micrometer/Prometheus), request tracing systems (OpenTelemetry/Jaeger), ELK stack
- Advanced Kafka experience: topic design (partitions, replication, retention), consumer/producer configuration, consumer lag, performance issue analysis
- Experience developing services for multiple replicas in Kubernetes: race conditions, idempotency, distributed locks (ShedLock)
