An international IT company that has been developing web and mobile applications for Swiss clients in the B2B and B2C segments for 25 years. The company works on projects from various industries: B2B platforms for food products, airlines, banks, travel portals, and other areas. Client partnerships are usually long-term, lasting 7–8 years or more.
Currently, the team is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer who will support and develop the company's infrastructure, work with Unix-like systems, automation, monitoring, security, and distributed systems.
Responsibilities
- Administer and monitor Unix-like systems, primarily Debian / Ubuntu.
- Maintain infrastructure in local and remote environments.
- Collaborate with developers and an experienced sysadmin team.
- Ensure the stability, security, and reliability of systems.
- Automate infrastructure processes and implement new technologies.
- Evaluate the scope and complexity of tasks, communicate with managers and stakeholders.
- Participate in 24/7 monitoring alert coverage on a rotating basis within the team.

What's Important
- Experience in Linux system administration, especially Debian / Ubuntu.
- Good understanding of Linux systems and the network stack.
- Experience with Git and configuration management tools: Ansible / SaltStack.
- Knowledge of TLS / x509 certificates and basic encryption principles.
- Understanding of distributed systems.
- English for oral and written communication.
- Ability to work in a team and willingness to learn new technologies.
Will Be a Plus
- Practical experience with Kubernetes operation.
- Experience with Corosync / Pacemaker.
- Deep understanding of networking protocols and network architectures.
