ML Engineer / Research Engineer (R&D) in Autonomous Transport

We are developing autonomous driving technologies and are looking for an ML engineer or researcher to join the ML R&D team. Our team automates the construction of vector HD maps — one of the key components for safe and reliable autonomous driving.

Vector maps help understand the road scene, plan maneuvers, and make decisions. We want to move from labor-intensive and partially manual processes to an automated, scalable, and robust ML solution.

What tasks await you

Pipeline and ML model development

You will study the existing vector map construction pipeline and improve it, develop and train ML models for extracting and vectorizing road infrastructure elements. You will need to research and implement new approaches from scientific papers (CV, ML, 3D, multimodal learning), propose and implement your own ideas and algorithms. You will work with real autonomous vehicle data (sensors, labeling, noise, scale), participate in the full R&D cycle — from idea and experiments to production solutions, and analyze model quality and influence safety and reliability metrics.

We expect that you

• Have worked with ML/DL (PyTorch or equivalent)
• Are proficient in Python
• Have a good understanding of computer vision
• Are able to read and analyze scientific papers, reproduce and adapt ideas
• Possess research thinking and are willing to experiment
• Want to gain a deep understanding of complex systems

Will be a plus

• Have worked with large datasets and production ML
• Have published scientific papers or participated in research projects
• Have experience in the field of autonomous transport, robotics, or cartography
