ML Developer for the Search Behavioral Neurotechnologies Development Group

Search is the heart of Yandex. It helps tens of millions of users daily solve tasks and find answers to questions. Currently, the main tools for document selection are neural network models.

We work with neural networks in Search: we predict clicks, conversions, and the quality of search results.

Tasks you will work on

Applied Research You will primarily train heavy transformer models. In addition, you will need to solve optimization problems.

Launching models in A/B experiments You will work with Big Data: training heavy models on tens of gigabytes and even terabytes of data.

Production Implementation You will interact with various services. You will write code that provides real-time benefits to millions of users.

We expect you to have

• Experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Strong algorithmic background
• Proficient in Python and C++
• Understanding of the main principles of ML

Will be a plus

• Have implemented neural networks in production
• Deep knowledge of NLP principles
• Knowledge of the main principles of RecSys
