Lead the development and evolution of the data delivery platform
Description
NiFi is a platform for collecting data from various sources, supplementing the streaming and CDC mechanisms in the Ingest Platform. The Ingest Platform is a set of products that teams use to deliver data from source systems to the Data Platform for analytics and integrations.
The team develops and operates Apache NiFi, as well as the DataContract service, which is responsible for data quality and consistency. The platform serves over 1000 deliveries, which are used to build management and regulatory reporting.
Stack: Java, Apache NiFi, Kafka, Redis, PostgreSQL, Python, S3, Apache Iceberg, Spark.
Role format: ~70% management, ~30% coding.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of developers and operations engineers
- Formulate and achieve quarterly team goals
- Provide technical leadership and develop architectural solutions
Requirements
- Experience leading platform teams
- Understand the principles of processing large volumes of data
- Proficiency in Java
