What tasks await you

Launches in New Countries Your team will adapt the backend of the client application for launch in new countries. This is not routine work — each country presents new and interesting challenges: from working with new currencies and local payments to considering cultural and regulatory specifics.

Development in International Markets Foodtech in the international market is a highly competitive environment where rapid growth is essential. You will work on projects that help the service maintain the required pace and implement large-scale features to stay ahead of competitors. For example, you will implement new discount mechanics that affect the entire ordering process or integrate a new application after an M&A deal.

Development of the Yandex Food Option in the Plus Subscription on the International Market Subscription is one of the growth mechanisms in the international market. It is a large-scale feature that permeates the entire product. Your team will be responsible for its support and development: you will launch the subscription in new countries, adapting it to local payments, compliance, and other norms, as well as implement new mechanics.

We expect that you

• Have a good knowledge of C++
• Have developed for Unix or Linux
• Have worked with STL, preferably with Boost
• Are familiar with ACID requirements, isolation levels, database sharding and replication
• Have developed backend, worked with high-load systems

Will be a plus

• Have worked with multithreaded systems
• Can work with MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ
• Have designed architecture in distributed systems
• Write tests and scripts in Python
