Yandex Plus AdTech is a new division within the Personal Services business group. We create gamified B2C solutions, develop advertising formats and integrations for B2B partners, and manage a large-scale loyalty program with Plus Points.

The division also includes Edadil — a Yandex service that helps navigate the world of smart shopping, entertainment, and saving on everyday expenses. To enable millions of users to accomplish their tasks within the service, we process a large stream of data from various sources. This data is the foundation for analytics, product decisions, and the daily work of internal teams. The DWH team's task is to ensure the stability of processes and the reliability of data for the service's development.

What tasks await you

Build and optimize data processing pipelines You will develop a set of interconnected ETL processes and participate in work at all stages of data processing, from loading from sources to preparing data marts and final extracts for internal services. It is important to design these processes with a thoughtful architecture where performance and resilience are basic requirements.

Ensure the reliability and quality of data processes You will need to configure monitoring, quality checks, and alerting, control data delivery delays and completeness, promptly investigate incidents, and eliminate their root causes, not just the consequences.

Develop the analytical data layer: marts, dashboards, metrics You will need to create and develop data marts and metrics for product tasks. We work in conjunction with analysts, clarify requirements, agree on calculation logic, and verify the correctness of results. It is important to understand the subject area and the meaning of the data, and, in case of problems with events and logging, to interact with development teams.

Develop internal data tools We have an internal set of libraries for working with data and orchestrating regular data process runs. You will improve existing libraries and create new utilities that will simplify and speed up our team's work.

We expect that you

• Have excellent knowledge of Python and can develop clean and efficient code
• Have excellent command of SQL
• Are familiar with the MapReduce paradigm

Will be a plus

• Have created complex, high-load ETL and ELT processes
• Have worked with orchestration tools
• Have participated in data warehouse design
