MGTS is the main telecommunications partner of the City of Moscow and part of the MTS ecosystem. We design, build, and operate advanced telecommunications infrastructure, develop and implement next-generation networks, and implement comprehensive solutions for the Smart City.
We are looking for a Frontend Developer.
Responsibilities:
- develop interactive interfaces in React that require real-time data updates;
- implement WebSocket connection logic: handling socket opening/closing events, receiving messages, handling connection errors and reconnections;
- integrate frontend with REST API and WS servers;
- layout new components and pages according to Figma mockups;
- maintain and develop existing functionality of the client-side application;
- optimize rendering: prevent unnecessary component re-renders during frequent data updates via sockets;
- participate in Code Reviews and write maintainable code according to team standards;
- interact with Backend developers to coordinate data formats and exchange protocols;
- participate in team calls, task planning, and discussion of technical approaches in developing new functionality;
- work with technical documentation;
- track tasks in task trackers.
What we expect from the candidate:
- at least 6 months of commercial development experience in React;
- experience with the React stack: functional components, Hooks (useState, useEffect, useMemo), Context API;
- solid knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), deep understanding of asynchronous operations, API interaction, and data manipulation;
- basic proficiency in TypeScript: ability to describe interfaces and data types;
- solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, SCSS: understanding of BEM methodology, experience with SCSS/SASS preprocessors (mixins, variables, nesting), adaptive and cross-browser layout;
- experience with Bootstrap 5: adaptive layout, using the Grid system and ready-made components;
- knowledge of network protocols: basic understanding of HTTP and WebSocket specifics, understanding of REST principles;
- WebSocket skills: understanding the principle of two-way data exchange, experience with the WebSocket API;
- experience with Git (branching, commits, creating Pull Requests), including teamwork skills (Merge/Rebase, conflict resolution);
- proficiency with developer tools, e.g., Chrome DevTools (Network, Console tabs);
- analytical thinking: ability to decompose complex UI tasks into simple components;
- methodical approach, results-oriented, ability to plan, provide feedback;
- communication skills, ability to work in a team;
- ability to multitask.
