Freelance short-form video editor / clip producer

I’m looking for a freelance short-form video editor / clip producer to help expand a growing public-facing platform focused on democracy, authoritarianism, political instability, and geopolitics.

This is not generic influencer content or corporate social media work.

The material comes from podcasts, interviews, media appearances, and Substack essays, and the goal is to turn serious ideas into sharp, compelling short-form content for YouTube Shorts, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Bluesky, and Substack Notes.

I’m especially interested in people who:

• understand political/news/intellectual media
• know modern short-form pacing and hooks
• can preserve substance and credibility while increasing reach
• think strategically about audience growth and cross-platform distribution
• are creator-native without making everything feel flat

Experience with podcasts, political media, journalism, YouTube, documentary editing, or current affairs is a plus.

If this sounds like you, or someone you know, please DM me with:

• a few examples of clips/work,
• a brief description of your background, and
• why you think serious political content succeeds (or fails) online.

This will likely begin as a freelance/project-based relationship with room to grow.

Thanks, Barbara
