FindMyKids is one of the largest FamilyTech products in the world. We aim to make child safety smart, not anxiety-inducing. A little about us:
- $50+M ARR
- 7 million monthly active users (MAU)
- 120+ million downloads worldwide
We have now set a goal to strengthen our team with a Product Manager who will be entrusted with the entire technical scope of the Geo-direction: geolocation quality, algorithms, and technology development.
Geolocation is a key product technology. Currently, our stack goes far beyond basic movement display on a map:
- we determine the user's exact location in real-time;
- we understand if they are moving on foot or by transport, and at what speed they are moving;
- we filter out noise from errors and GPS outliers and even predict arrival times;
- meanwhile, we have enabled the application to work continuously in the background with minimal phone battery consumption.
Your responsibilities will include:
- identifying cases where we incorrectly determine user location, investigating the causes, and systematically improving Geo accuracy;
- developing movement detection algorithms: more accurately understanding how the user moves, at what speed, and what happens during movement;
- developing trip safety scenarios – detecting sudden accelerations, braking, turns, and other dangerous maneuvers;
- improving arrival time and place prediction and developing our own routing;
- seeking new ways to enhance location quality using device and environmental signals while maintaining minimal battery consumption;
- independently determining which technological problems most significantly impact Geo quality and working with the team to achieve their resolution.
This role is for someone who:
- loves complex technological challenges where there is no ready-made answer;
- is ready to deeply understand how the product works and make decisions at the intersection of technology and user value;
- wants to be responsible for an independent technological area and its results, rather than for a separate function within a large system;
- knows how to set a high quality bar and drive the team towards it.
It is important for us that you have:
- 3+ years of experience in Product Management;
- experience with a B2C mobile product;
- experience with Geo, maps, navigation, routing, or another technically complex area around geolocation;
- experience where the team developed the technology or algorithms themselves, not just integrated third-party SDKs;
- experience in full team management – building the team, developing people, and responsibility for team results.
What we offer:
- our own Geo technology: the opportunity to influence algorithms and quality, rather than working on top of a third-party SDK;
- responsibility for the entire direction: from problem selection and priorities to user outcomes;
- your own team: the opportunity to build it yourself, develop people, and strengthen it for tasks;
- millions of real-world Geo scenarios on which to test and improve the technology;
- an ambitious task: we need to further develop our geo-stack, making the product a technological leader.
Conditions:
- remote work from anywhere in the world within a time zone close to Moscow, or hybrid/office;
- day off and sick days as needed without complex processing;
- compensation for expenses on training, English, psychologist, medical services, sports, massage, and work equipment.
If you are interested in independently determining what world-class Geo should be, where the accuracy of the technology truly matters for people's safety, we would be happy to meet you :)
You can recommend a candidate: if you know a suitable product manager, introduce us. For a successful recommendation, a reward equivalent to $500 is provided after the candidate successfully passes the probationary period.
