FindMyKids is one of the largest FamilyTech products in the world. We are solving how to make children's safety smart, not anxious.
A little about us:
- $50+M ARR
- 7 million monthly active users (MAU)
- 120+ million downloads worldwide
Now we have set ourselves the goal of strengthening the team with a Product Manager, to whom we will entrust the entire technical perimeter of the Geo-direction: geolocation accuracy, algorithms, and technology development.
Geolocation is the key technology of the product. Currently, our stack has long gone beyond basic movement display on the map:
- we determine the user's exact location in real-time;
- we understand if they are moving on foot or by transport, and at what speed they are moving;
- we filter out noise from errors and GPS outliers and even predict arrival times;
- at the same time, we have taught the application to work constantly in the background with minimal phone battery consumption.
What you will be doing:
- finding cases where we incorrectly determine the user's location, understanding the reasons, and systematically improving Geo accuracy;
- developing algorithms for determining movement: more accurately understanding how the user is moving, at what speed, and what is happening during the movement;
- developing trip safety scenarios — detecting sudden accelerations, braking, turns, and other dangerous maneuvers;
- improving the prediction of arrival time and place, and developing our own routing;
- looking for new ways to improve location quality using device and environment signals, while maintaining minimal battery consumption;
- determining for yourself which technological problems most significantly affect Geo quality, and bringing their solutions to completion together with the team.
This role is for a person who:
- loves complex technological tasks where there is no ready-made answer;
- is ready to delve deep into how the product works and make decisions at the intersection of technology and user value;
- wants to be responsible for an independent technological area and its results, not for a separate function within a large system;
- knows how to set a high quality bar and move the team towards it.
It is important for us that you have:
- 3+ years of experience in Product Management;
- experience with a B2C mobile product;
- experience with Geo, maps, navigation, routing, or another technically complex area around geolocation;
- experience where the team developed the technology or algorithms themselves, rather than just integrating a third-party SDK;
- experience in full team management — team formation, people development, and responsibility for team results.
What we offer:
- our own Geo-technology: the opportunity to influence algorithms and quality, rather than working on top of a third-party SDK;
- responsibility for the entire direction: from selecting problems and priorities to user results;
- your own team: the opportunity to form it yourself, develop people, and strengthen it for tasks;
- millions of real Geo-scenarios on which to test and improve the technology;
- an ambitious task: to further develop our geo-stack, making the product a technological leader.
Terms and conditions:
- remote work from anywhere in the world within a time zone close to GMT+3;
- day off and sick days without complex paperwork if needed;
- compensation for expenses on training, English language, psychologist, medical services, sports, massage, and work equipment.
If you are interested in determining for yourself what world-class Geo should be, where the accuracy of technology truly matters for people's safety, we would be happy to meet you :)
