About Byron

Byron builds AI agents for tax preparation. CPA firms use Byron to process source documents, build workpapers, and move finished work into the tax software they already run, with the accountant in the loop at every step. We're a seed-stage, venture-backed team building for every serious tax practice in the country, from 50-person firms to the Top 100.

About the role

You will be Byron's first dedicated in-house marketing hire. Demand today comes from industry events, webinars, and word of mouth inside the accounting profession. Your job is to turn what's working into a repeatable engine, fix what's missing (starting with SEO and the website), and own the channel mix end to end. You'll work directly with the CEO and the go-to-market team, with real budget and real authority over how we show up in the market.

What you'll do

• Own the events program: choose the conferences worth our money, run our presence there from booth to speaking slots to dinners, and track every event to the pipeline it produced.
• Scale the webinar program: it's already one of our best-performing channels, and it should be a machine.
• Take over SEO and the website: site structure, landing pages, and content that ranks for what tax professionals actually search for.
• Run content and social: case studies, announcements, a steady drumbeat on LinkedIn, and copy written by someone who understands how a tax practice runs.
• Test paid channels with discipline: clear hypotheses, honest readouts, quick kills.
• Report on marketing the way a CFO would want it: pipeline created, cost per opportunity, and what we should do more or less of.
