Senior QA Engineer

Work is carried out using agile methodologies: teams participate in all stages of design, development, and delivery. Code review is an integral part of the development process.
Currently, our company is developing projects in the travel industry.
We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer for web testing.
What we expect from the candidate:
- At least 3 years of experience in testing;
- Solid understanding of client-server architecture, testing theory, and development process;
- Experience working in a product team using Kanban/Scrum methodologies;
- Experience in creating and maintaining test documentation (checklists/test cases/test results);
- Deep skills in testing REST API: understanding HTTP, experience with Postman (collections, variables, scripts), Swagger/OpenAPI;
- Practical experience in searching and analyzing logs in Kibana;
- Understanding of Kafka architecture and skills in manual event verification: ability to read messages from a topic (using Offset Explorer, AKHQ, or similar);
- Communication skills and the ability to constructively defend one's point of view;
- Ability to independently find solutions to emerging issues;
- Desire to develop and actively participate in team meetings.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional, integration, and regression testing;
- Test REST API using Postman and Swagger specifications;
- Perform search and in-depth analysis of logs in Kibana to diagnose backend issues;
- Read and verify messages from Kafka topics;
- Analyze and test requirements;
- Maintain and develop test documentation;
- Support releases: conduct regression and smoke testing before/after release;
- Actively participate in product discussions;
- Participate in improving development and testing processes;
- Interact with colleagues from other teams;
- Constructively defend your point of view when discussing defects and task priorities;
- Independently find and propose solutions to emerging technical and organizational issues.
