We are developing a RegTech project and a corporate Data Warehouse (DWH), working with large volumes of data and building processes that help the business obtain reliable and structured information for decision-making.
We are currently looking for a Junior Data Analyst who wants to develop specifically in the areas of DWH, Data Quality, and data analytics.
This is not just a position for Excel and pretty Power BI dashboards. The main work involves understanding where the data came from, how correct it is, how it should be transformed, and how the final indicator is formed in the DWH.
What you will do
- Collect and analyze requirements from business users and internal stakeholders.
- Analyze source data from various systems and sources.
- Perform data profiling and identify quality issues.
- Work with SQL for data extraction, analysis, and verification.
- Participate in preparing Source-to-Target (S2T) mapping.
- Participate in the development and updating of logical data models.
- Verify data consistency between the source and the DWH.
- Identify discrepancies, duplicates, missing values, and incorrect values.
- Formulate Data Quality rules and participate in their verification.
- Work with ETL/ELT processes.
- Gradually learn and apply dbt tests for data quality control.
- Prepare analytical conclusions and documentation.
- Interact with developers, analysts, and business users.
🔴 MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
We consider candidates who already have a foundation in the following areas:
SQL
-
confident SQL knowledge; / SELECT, WHERE, GROUP BY, HAVING; / JOIN; / aggregate functions; / subqueries; / preferably — window functions.
DWH
-
understanding of what Data Warehouse is;

understanding the differences between OLTP and OLAP;
-
basic understanding of data models;
-
basic understanding of facts and dimensions.
ETL / ELT
- understanding of ETL and ELT principles;
- understanding how data travels from source to DWH.
Data Quality
- understanding of common data quality issues;
- ability to find duplicates, missing values, incorrect values;
- understanding of data verification and reconciliation principles.
S2T / Source-to-Target
- basic understanding of Source-to-Target mapping;
- ability to map a source field to a target system field;
- understanding of data transformation logic.
Analytical Thinking
- ability to independently understand data;
- ability to find the root causes of discrepancies;
- ability to formulate conclusions based on data;
- attention to detail.
Excel
- confident work with Excel;
- XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP;
- SUMIFS/COUNTIFS;
- pivot tables;
- basic work with large datasets.
Communication
- fluent Russian language;
- ability to work with requirements and technical documentation;
- ability to ask clarifying questions to business users and the team.
🟡 WILL BE A PLUS
- Python / Pandas / NumPy.
- PostgreSQL.
- Git.
- Power BI.
- dbt.
- Experience with ETL tools.
- Experience working with DWH.
- Experience in the banking, financial, or RegTech sector.
- Experience working with large volumes of data.
We do not expect deep knowledge of all these tools from a Junior.

- is ready to work extensively with SQL and data, not just visualization;
- wants to develop in the direction of Data Analyst → DWH / Data Analytics.

If you are proficient in SQL, understand the basic principles of DWH, and want to develop in Data Analytics — we will be glad to meet you.
If your experience is primarily limited to Excel/Power BI and you lack an understanding of SQL and DWH fundamentals, this position is likely not suitable for you.
