We're looking for a Technical Business Analyst to join the API Banking team in Nicosia, Cyprus.

The API Banking team builds the bank's APIs: the services through which the bank exchanges data and operations with partners, fintech companies and third-party providers. This is a technical BA role focused on APIs, backend and integrations. You'll dig into how the APIs work, write specifications and connect business stakeholders with the development team. Employment is through a contractor company, with a 3-month probation period.

What matters: ✅ 2.5+ years as a Business Analyst, System Analyst, Product Owner or Product Manager ✅ Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and HTTP: methods, status codes, idempotency, data formats ✅ Experience with API integrations and third-party systems ✅ Understanding of secure authorization: OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, tokens (access/refresh, JWT) ✅ Hands-on experience with OpenAPI/Swagger, Postman, sequence diagrams and SQL ✅ Agile experience and backlog management ✅ Writing functional requirements, business processes, user stories and acceptance criteria ✅ Working with cross-functional teams: Product, Engineering, UX, QA ✅ Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Business or a related field ✅ English B2+ and readiness to work from the Nicosia office 5 days a week ➕ Nice to have: experience in digital banking, payments or fintech; knowledge of PSD2, eIDAS and Open Banking (AISP, PISP, SCA); familiarity with mTLS and API certificates (QWAC/QSealC). Priority for candidates in Cyprus or with EU work rights, but non-EU candidates are also considered

What you'll do: 🔹 Work in an Agile delivery team: planning, grooming and reviews 🔹 Turn business needs into system requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria 🔹 Build and prioritize the backlog, identify assumptions, edge cases and dependencies 🔹 Analyze services that interact with external systems 🔹 Describe API contracts in OpenAPI/Swagger and test them in Postman 🔹 Draw sequence diagrams for integrations and business processes 🔹 Use SQL to analyze data and validate hypotheses 🔹 Support onboarding of external partners and keep documentation up to date
