“UDZ” is a Russian developer and manufacturer of a wide range of unmanned aerial systems — from compact drones to cargo-lifting multicopters and fixed-wing UAVs.

Due to the increase in workload and active company growth, we are looking for a developer of embedded software for programmable logic integrated circuits (FPGA) for hardware platforms of radio equipment to join our friendly team. This role involves implementing software for products and devices in wireless communication and data transmission systems.

Responsibilities:

• Creation of modern wireless communication systems with near-limit characteristics.
• Implementation of algorithms for receiving and transmitting physical layers of radio interfaces (DSP):
  1. Digital Compression (CFR) and Digital Pre-Distortion (DPD);
  2. Frequency / time / phase / symbol synchronization;
  3. Channel estimation and equalization;
  4. Error-correcting codes, modulation, and demodulation;
  5. Automatic gain control systems;
  6. Digital and analog beamforming, spatial filtering, and multiplexing, etc.
  7. MIMO, mesh
• Development of radio network protocols (point-to-multipoint, roaming, mesh).
• Implementation of physical layers for standard 5G NR / DVB-S2x etc. and proprietary C-OFDMA / SC-FDMA radio interfaces;
• Development of code for working with high-speed interfaces (Ethernet, JESD, PCI Express, and others).
• Development of uBlaze control programs.
• Testing and debugging code in products using test and measurement equipment.
• Interaction with the algorithmic team, RF path development team, and computational blocks team;

Requirements:

• Higher professional education in radio electronics/radio engineering/radiophysics or programming.
• At least 3 years of FPGA programming experience.
• Knowledge of Verilog/System Verilog/VHDL, C, Xilinx FPGA architecture, Xilinx Vivado CAD.
• Deep knowledge in the field of digital signal processing.
• Knowledge in the areas of radio communication, interfaces, high-speed digital circuit design, radio electronic devices and instruments.
• Ability to work with test and measurement equipment.
• Experience with Git.
