Logging System Developer for Observability Platform

We are developing a system that collects data from across the cluster in the form of metrics, traces, and logs, and enables prompt identification, monitoring, and response to application events. The write data stream is 15+ GB/s and is constantly growing. The service provides a tool for managing this data, finding problematic areas in the system, analyzing the execution path of each request, and the cost of its processing.

What tasks await you

Developing the system together with the team In development, we are oriented towards Jaeger, DataDog, AWS Cloud Op (CloudWatch/X-Ray), and Scuba by Facebook.

We expect you to

• Have experience in industrial development with Go, Java and be ready to switch to Go
• Be familiar with multithreading and have developed network and asynchronous applications
• Write code that is easy to read and maintain, and know how to test your programs using automated tests
• Know classical algorithms and data structures
• Be eager to build a large-scale product that will be used by many of your fellow programmers both inside Yandex and externally

Will be a plus

• Have worked with Kibana, Grafana, or their analogs
• Have worked with databases similar to ClickHouse
