Backend Developer (PHP, AI)

We are looking for a PHP developer for a product team to develop a high-load platform with educational content.

Responsibilities

• Develop the platform: implement new features, improve architecture and user experience.
• Modernize the codebase with active use of AI tools.
• Implement agentic approaches into team processes (code reviews, tests, documentation, migrations).
• Work with media content, integrations (CRM, payments, webhooks), and queues.
• Participate in shaping the engineering culture of working with AI, sharing experience and best practices.

Requirements

• Experience with AI tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, and similar) as a primary work tool.
• Understanding of principles for setting tasks for AI agents and the ability to verify the results of their work.
• Proficient in PHP and commercial development experience.
• Experience with MySQL/PostgreSQL and understanding of query optimization.
• Experience with Docker, Redis, RabbitMQ (or queue alternatives).
• Skills in working with REST API, webhooks, and integrations with external services.
• English language proficiency at B1+ level for working with documentation and AI tools.
• Results-oriented: ability to independently solve blocking tasks that arise.

Nice to have

• Experience with Yii2 or Laravel.
• Knowledge of the ELK stack.
• Experience with Vue.js or other modern front-end frameworks.
• Experience with media content (streaming, conversion).
• Experience in a product company with high load.
